Paratypes: AMS IA.1320-21 (1, 1) •Valid as Halosaurus pectoralis McCulloch 1926 -- (McDowell 1973:56 [ref. 24539], Paxton et al. 1989:148 [ref. 12442], Paulin et al. 1989:65 [ref. 24556], Shcherbachev et al. 1989:165, 166 [ref. 36134], Machida in Amaoka et al. 1990:101 [ref. 16024], Gomon et al. 1994:217 [ref. 22532], Hutchins 2001:18 [ref. 25847], Paxton et al. 2006:230 [ref. 28995], Smith 2008:184 [ref. 30621], Shelyagin 2010:512 [ref. 31017], Fricke et al. 2011:348 [ref. 31242], Stewart & Struthers 2015:209 [ref. 34231]). Current status: Valid as Halosaurus pectoralis McCulloch 1926. Halosauridae. Distribution: Southeastern Indian Ocean and southwestern Pacific. Habitat: marine.
