Lectotype: MNHN 1982-0136 [ex IFAN 51-15]. Paralectotypes: IFAN 4747-49 (1, 1, 1), 49-161 (1), 49-236 (1), 49-238 (1), 55-1587 (1), 55-1617 (1); MNHN 1982-0137 to 1982-0148 [ex IFAN] (12, 1 ea lot). Type catalog: Pietsch et al. 1987:137-138 [ref. 6339], Pietsch & Arnold 2020:103 [ref. 38284]. Lectotype selected by Pietsch & Grobecker 1987:60 [ref. 20669] but actually established first in Pietsch et al. 1987:137 [ref. 6339]. •Synonym of Antennarius striatus (Shaw 1794) -- (Pietsch & Grobecker 1987:60 [ref. 20669], Pietsch 1990:485 [ref. 15577], Lindberg et al. 1997:218 [ref. 23547], Pietsch & Arnold 2020:102 [ref. 38284]). Current status: Synonym of Antennarius striatus (Shaw 1794). Antennariidae. Habitat: marine.
