Holotype (unique): ORI B186. •Valid as Raja stenorhynchus Wallace 1967 -- (Hulley 1986:126 [ref. 5672], Séret 1989:127 [ref. 12827]). •Valid as Dipturus stenorhynchus (Wallace 1967) -- (McEachran & Dunn 1998:285 [ref. 23312], Compagno 1999:491 [ref. 25589], Compagno & Ebert 2007:139 [ref. 30471], Last & Alava 2013:214 [ref. 33041], Weigmann 2016:110 [ref. 34211], Last et al. 2016:22 [ref. 34941], Last et al. 2016:273 [ref. 35000], Ebert et al. 2021:81 [ref. 38234], Aschliman & Ebert 2022:580 [ref. 39668]). Current status: Valid as Dipturus stenorhynchus (Wallace 1967). Rajidae. Distribution: Southwestern Indian Ocean: False Bay to KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) north to central Mozambique. Habitat: marine.
