Current status: Valid as Oxymetopon cyanoctenosum Klausewitz & Condé 1981. Gobiidae: Ptereleotrinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Indonesia and Philippines, north to Taiwan, south to Papua New Guinea. Habitat: marine.
