Type catalog: Fricke 1982:67 [ref. 5432], Zhang 1996:502 [ref. 24036], Ye et al. 2015:102 [ref. 33808]. •Synonym of Callionymus belcheri Richardson 1844 -- (Fricke 1982:67 [ref. 5432], Fricke 2001:3556 [ref. 26292]). •Synonym of Callionymus belcheri Richardson 1844, but a valid subspecies -- (Fricke 1983:316 [ref. 8349], Fricke in Randall & Lim 2000:634 [ref. 25122], Fricke 2002:13 [ref. 26547], Yoshida et al. 2013:185 [ref. 34464] in genus Repomucenus). •Valid as Callionymus recurvispinnis (Li 1966) -- (Ng & Rainboth 2011:67 [ref. 31577], Ye et al. 2015:102 [ref. 33808], Roy et al. 2021:215 [ref. 38220]). Current status: Valid as Callionymus recurvispinnis (Li 1966). Callionymidae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Bay of Bengal (India) east to Taiwan. Habitat: marine.
