Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Christmas and Cocos (Keeling) islands east to Phoenix Islands, Fiji and Samoa, north to southern Japan, south to Great Barrier Reef (Queensland, Australia). Western and central Indian Ocean records based on T. flammeum (see ref. 37115). Habitat: marine.
