R.] 1989:142 [Memoirs of the California Academy of Sciences No. 14; ref. 6439] Kapuas basin, Sungai Seriang, a forested tributary of the Sungai Palin, 37 kilometers west of Putussibau, Borneo, Indonesia. Holotype: MZB 3702. Paratypes: (36) AMNH 48940 (2); BMNH 1982.3.29.151-52 (2); CAS 49420 (6), 49421 (5, c&s); FMNH 94245 (2); MCZ 58352 (2); MNHN 1982-0714 (2); MZB 3701, 3703; UMMZ 209923; USNM 230307 (5). Type catalog: Ferraris & Vari 1992:32 [ref. 19771], Ferraris 2007:15 [ref. 29155]. •Valid as Parakysis anomalopteryx Roberts 1989 -- (Kottelat et al. 1993:76 [ref. 23448], Ng & Lim 1995:259 [ref. 21887], Burgess & Finley 1996:165 [ref. 22901], Ng & Kottelat 2003:48 [ref. 26707], Kottelat & Widjanarti 2005:163 [ref. 28284], Ferraris 2007:15 [ref. 29155], Ng 2009:39 [ref. 30102], Kottelat 2013:219 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Valid as Parakysis anomalopteryx Roberts 1989. Akysidae: Parakysinae. Distribution: Kapuas River basin, western Borneo, Indonesia. Habitat: freshwater.
