Paratypes: BMNH 1977.12.13.557-578 (5), 1978.9.6.5-13 (7); NHMB 6343 (6), 6350 (4); ONHM 771.1 (3); SMF 17262 (2 ex 10). •Valid as Garra gallagheri Krupp 1988 -- (Lyon et al. 2016:87 [ref. 34670], Kirchner et al. 2020:528 [ref. 37393], Freyhof et al. 2020:157 [ref. 37658], Esmaeili et al. 2022:467 [ref. 39253], Esmaeili & Hamidan 2023:209 [ref. 40377], Çiçek et al. 2024:117 [ref. 40789]). Current status: Valid as Garra gallagheri Krupp 1988. Cyprinidae: Labeoninae. Distribution: Middle East: Wadi Bani Khalid and falaj irrigation systems downstream (Oman endemic). Habitat: freshwater.
