Kottelat 2013 says type is apparently erroneous. •Valid as Barilius borneensis Roberts 1989 -- (Kottelat et al. 1993:33 [ref. 23448], Doi 1997:3 [ref. 22832]). •Questionably a synonym of Opsarius koratensis (Smith 1931) -- (Kottelat 2013:131-132 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Uncertain as Opsarius koratensis (Smith 1931). Danionidae: Chedrinae. Distribution: Western Borneo (if valid). Habitat: freshwater.
