Originally as deltaënse. •Synonym of Aphyosemion gulare (Boulenger 1901) -- (Wildekamp et al. 1986:217 [ref. 6198]). •Valid as Aphyosemion deltaense Radda 1976 -- (Radda 1977:258 [ref. 40777], Romand in Lévêque et al. 1992:600 [ref. 21590], Huber 2006:66 [ref. 30603]). •Synonym of Fundulopanchax gularis (Boulenger 1902) -- (Wildekamp 1996:182 [ref. 23649], Lazara 2001:131 [ref. 25711]). •Tentatively valid as Fundulopanchax deltaensis (Radda 1976) -- (Huber 2006:66 [ref. 30603]). •Valid as Fundulopanchax deltaensis (Radda 1976) -- (Collier 2019:32 [ref. 37884]). Current status: Valid as Fundulopanchax deltaensis (Radda 1976). Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: Western-central Africa: Nigeria. Habitat: freshwater.
