C.] 1975:17, Pl. 11 [British Killifish Association, Killi News Jun. 1975; ref. 20501] Small and swampy brook in the rainforest between Lambarené and Fougamou along National Road No. 1, about 30 kilometers southeast of Lambarené, western Gabon, 0°50'S, 10°22'E. Holotype: NMW 77338. Paratypes: NMW 77339-40 (1, 1). •Valid as Aphyosemion gabunense Radda 1975, subspecies gabunense Radda 1975 -- (Radda 1977:263 [ref. 40777], Lazara 2001:22 [ref. 25711], van der Zee et al. 2007:237 [ref. 30034]). •Valid as Aphyosemion gabunense Radda 1975 -- (Wildekamp et al. 1986:213 [ref. 6198], Wildekamp 1993:168 [ref. 26378], Huber 1998:335 [ref. 23502], Fermon et al. 2022:256 [ref. 39448]). Current status: Valid as Aphyosemion gabunense Radda 1975. Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: West Africa: lower Ogowe and Ngounie River systems (Gabon) endemic. Habitat: freshwater.
