Paratypes: NMW 77328-31 (1, 1, 1, 1). •Valid as Aphyosemion herzogi Radda 1975 -- (Radda 1977:260 [ref. 40777], Wildekamp et al. 1986:218 [ref. 6198], Wildekamp 1993:191 [ref. 26378], Lazara 2001:23 [ref. 25711], van der Zee et al. 2007:199 [ref. 30034], Eberl 2016:40 [ref. 34296], Fermon et al. 2022:257 [ref. 39448], Malumbres et al. 2022:7 [ref. 39641] in 'Aphyosemion'). Current status: Valid as Aphyosemion herzogi Radda 1975. Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: West Africa: northern Gabon endemic. Habitat: freshwater.
