Type catalog: Mojica & Agudelo-Zamora 2018:50 [ref. 36127]. •Valid as Rivulus pacificus Huber 1992 -- (Lazara 2001:282 [ref. 25711], Costa in Reis et al. 2003:538 [ref. 27061], Costa 2006:139 [ref. 28875] in subgenus Cynodonichthys, Huber et al. 2023:78 [ref. 40176]). •Valid as Cynodonichthys pacificus (Huber 1992) -- (Costa 2011:242 [ref. 31655], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:101 [ref. 35633]). Current status: Valid as Cynodonichthys pacificus (Huber 1992). Rivulidae: Rivulinae. Distribution: South America: upper and middle San Juan and Atrato River basins, Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
