Holotype: BMNH 1990.4.9.8. Paratypes: BMNH 1990.4.9.9-12 (4), 1990.4.9.13-17 (5). •Valid as Copadichromis azureus Konings 1990 -- (Maréchal 1991:51 [ref. 20944], Stauffer & Sato 2002:91 [ref. 26070], Chisambo & Snoeks 2004:264 [ref. 28115], Stauffer & Konings 2006:12, 15 [ref. 28633], Konings 2016:237 [ref. 34521]). Current status: Valid as Copadichromis azureus Konings 1990. Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Lake Malawi. Habitat: freshwater.
