Holotype: BMNH 1990.4.9.18. Paratypes: BMNH 1990.4.9.19-27 (9). •Valid as Copadichromis mbenjii Konings 1990 -- (Maréchal 1991:55 [ref. 20944], Stauffer & Sato 2002:91 [ref. 26070], Chisambo & Snoeks 2004:264 [ref. 28115], Stauffer & Konings 2006:12, 13 [ref. 28633], Konings 2016:236 [ref. 34521]). Current status: Valid as Copadichromis mbenjii Konings 1990. Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Lake Malawi. Habitat: freshwater.
