Type catalog: Moore & Boardman 1991:11 [ref. 16741]. •Valid as Anchoa mundeoloides (Breder 1928) -- (Whitehead et al. 1988:365 [ref. 5725], Whitehead & Rodriguez-Sánchez in Fischer et al. 1995:1085 [ref. 22829], De La Cruz Agüero et al. 1997:131 [ref. 24545], Castro-Aguirre et al. 1999:128 [ref. 24550], Fuller et al. 1999:40 [ref. 25838], Nelson et al. 2004:66 [ref. 27807], Page et al. 2013:66 [ref. 32708]). Current status: Valid as Anchoa mundeoloides (Breder 1928). Engraulidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: southern Baja and Gulf of California to southern Mexico and possibly to Costa Rica. Habitat: marine.
