Appeared first in Musyl & Keenan 1992 [ref. 21991] but as name only, no description. •Synonym of Maccullochella peelii (Mitchell 1838), but a valid subspecies as described -- (Musyl & Keenan 1992:1598 [ref. 21991], Harris & Rowland in McDowall 1996:160 [ref. 22909], Allen et al. 2002:198 [ref. 25930]). •Synonym of Maaccullochella peelii (Mitchell 1838) -- (Paxton et al. 2006:1042 [ref. 28995]). •Valid as Maccullochella mariensis Rowland 1993 -- (Nock et al. 2010:988 [ref. 30979]).
