Type catalog: Gilbert 1998:57 [ref. 23395]. •Valid as Dionda catostomops Hubbs & Miller 1977 -- (Espinosa Pérez et al. 1993:13 [ref. 22290], Gilbert 1998:57 [ref. 23395], Nelson et al. 2004:70 [ref. 27807], Scharpf 2005:15 [ref. 28940], Miller 2006:115 [ref. 28615]). •Valid as Tampichthys catostomops (Hubbs & Miller 1977) -- (Schönhuth et al. 2008:745 [ref. 29831], Page et al. 2013:78 [ref. 32708], Page et al. 2023:76 [ref. 40505]). Current status: Valid as Tampichthys catostomops (Hubbs & Miller 1977). Leuciscidae: Pogonichthyinae. Distribution: Southern North America: Atlantic Slope (Mexico). Habitat: freshwater.
