Current status: Valid as Cheilodipterus parazonatus Gon 1993. Apogonidae: Apogoninae. Distribution: Western Pacific: eastern Indonesia east to New Ireland (Papua New Guinea), south to Great Barrier Reef (Queensland, Australia) and Solomon Islands. Habitat: marine.
