Holotype: IHASW 64-V-036. Paratypes: IHASW 64-V-28 to 35 (8), 64-V-38 to 46 (9); 63200 (1), 635162-63 (2), 6305194 (1). Authors are W.-X. Cao and S.-Q. Zhu. •Valid as Yunnanilus elakatis Cao & Zhu 1989 -- (Zhu 1989:17 [ref. 17744], Yang 1991:199 [ref. 13585], Zhu 1995:106 [ref. 25213], Zhu et al. 2009:197 [ref. 30145], Kottelat 2012:135 [ref. 32367], Zhang et al. 2016:148 [ref. 34477], Du et al. 2021:326 [ref. 38600], He et al. 2024:201 [ref. 40917], Qin et al. 2024:752 [ref. 41214]). Current status: Valid as Yunnanilus elakatis Cao & Zhu 1989. Nemacheilidae. Distribution: East Asia: upper Pearl River basin, Yunnan (China). Habitat: freshwater.
