Type catalog: Zhang 1996:499 [ref. 24036], Ye et al. 2015:25 [ref. 33808]. •Valid as Gymnocypris chilianensis Li & Chang 1974 -- (Wu & Wu 1992:446 [ref. 21205], Tang et al. 2016:134 [ref. 34489]). •Synonym of Gymnocypris eckloni Herzenstein 1891 but a valid subspecies as described -- (Zhu 1995:93 [ref. 25213] as chilienensis, Chen & Cao et al. in Yue 2000:362 [ref. 25272] as chilienensis, Zhao et al. 2011:303 [ref. 31275], Zhang et al. 2016:117 [ref. 34477]). •Synonym of Gymnocypris eckloni (Herzenstein 1891) -- (Ye et al. 2015:25 [ref. 33808]). •Valid as Schizopygopsis chilianensis (Li & Chang 1974). Current status: Valid as Schizopygopsis chilianensis (Li & Chang 1974). Cyprinidae: Schizopygopsinae. Distribution: Northeastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau, China. Habitat: freshwater.
