Current status: Valid as Wuhanlinigobius polylepis (Wu & Ni 1985). Oxudercidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Sundarban (India) east to eastern Indonesia, north to East China Sea (China), south to Northern Territory (Australia). Habitat: brackish, marine.
