Combined with a masculine genus, the adjective should be pentafasciatus. •Valid as Stonogobiops pentafasciatus Iwata & Hirata 1994 (often seen as pentafasciata) -- (Tomonori et al. 1994:6 [ref. 24598], Nakabo 2000:1224 [ref. 25182], Yoshino & Shimada 2001:408 [ref. 25786], Nakabo 2002:1224 [ref. 26193]).
