kanmuensis, Foetorepus Nakabo [T.], Yamamoto [E.] & Chen [C.-H.] 1983:351, Fig. 3 [Japanese Journal of Ichthyology v. 29 (no. 4); ref. 8299] Kanmu Seamount Chain [Hawaiian Ridge, northern central Pacific], 32°00'N, 172°50'E, depth 355-375 meters. Holotype: FAKU 50671. Paratypes: FAKU 50672 (1), NSMT-P 21033 (1). May use Synchropus or Foetorepus; authors differ. •Synonym of Synchiropus altivelis (Temminck & Schlegel 1845) -- (Fricke 1983:577 [ref. 8349]). •Valid as Foetorepus kanmuensis Nakabo, Yamamoto & Chen 1983 -- (Savinykh & Balanov 1999:424 [ref. 24871]). •Valid as Synchiropus kanmuensis (Nakabo, Yamamoto & Chen 1983) -- (Fricke 2002:56 [ref. 26547]). Current status: Valid as Synchiropus kanmuensis (Nakabo, Yamamoto & Chen 1983). Callionymidae. Distribution: Northern central Pacific: Hawaiian Ridge endemic. Habitat: marine.
