Type catalog: Bauchot et al. 1993:108 [ref. 20810]. •Valid, possilby in Apterichtus -- (McCosker 1977:66 [ref. 6836]). •Valid as Microrhynchus epinepheli Blache & Bauchot 1972 -- (Leiby 1990:185 [ref. 13652]). •Valid as Ethadophis epinepheli (Blache & Bauchot 1972) -- (McCosker et al. 1989:342 [ref. 13288]). •Valid but questionably in Ethadophis -- (Bauchot et al. 1993:108 [ref. 20810]). •Synonym of Phaenomonas foresti (Cadenat & Roux 1964) -- (McCosker 2006:737 [ref. 29013]). Current status: Synonym of Phaenomonas foresti (Cadenat & Roux 1964). Ophichthidae: Ophichthinae. Habitat: marine.
