Holotype: MNRJ 12519. Paratypes: MNRJ 12520 (9); MZUSP 46080 (8); UFRJ 2074-76 (7, 6, 8). •Valid as Simpsonichthys multiradiatus (Costa & Brasil 1994) -- (Costa 1996:130 [ref. 25271], Costa 1998:75 [ref. 23792], Lazara 2001:298 [ref. 25711], Costa 2003:52 [ref. 26768], Costa in Reis et al. 2003:541 [ref. 27061], Costa 2006:17 [ref. 28620], Costa 2007:126 [ref. 29445], Costa 2008:156 [ref. 29874], Nielsen et al. 2010:57 [ref. 30828]). •Valid as Hypsolebias multiradiatus (Costa & Brasil 1994) -- (based on generic placement in Costa 2011 [ref. 31654], Nielsen et al. 2012:69 [ref. 32283]). Current status: Valid as Hypsolebias multiradiatus (Costa & Brasil 1994). Rivulidae: Cynolebiinae. Distribution: Middle Tocantins River floodplians, Tocantins, Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.
