Holotype: MHNG 1226.90. Paratypes: (12) ANSP 140067 (1), Géry coll. 0690 (orig. 3), MHNG 1226.91-99 (9). Type catalog: Mahnert 1976:475 [ref. 21535], Böhlke 1984:50 [ref. 13621], Weber 1998:8 [ref. 32707]. •Valid as Pseudochalceus longianalis Géry 1972 -- (Bertaco in Reis et al. 2003:155 [ref. 27061], Zarske & Géry 2006:37 [ref. 28750], Bertaco & Malabarba 2013:776 [ref. 33026], Barriga Salazar 2014:108 [ref. 35745], Jiménez-Prado et al. 2015:153 [ref. 34894], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:62 [ref. 35633]). Current status: Valid as Pseudochalceus longianalis Géry 1972. Acestrorhamphidae: Rhoadsiinae. Distribution: South America: Pacific coastal rivers, Ecuador and Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
