Caucasus and Transcaucasia. •In the synonymy of Leucaspius delineatus (Heckel 1843) -- (Kottelat 1997:63 [ref. 22952], Esmaeili et al. 2017:50 [ref. 35254], Esmaeili et al. 2018:30 [ref. 36089]). •According to Coad 1995:18 [ref. 23608], caucasicus is recognized as a southern Caspian Sea basin subspecies of L. delineatus, so the first subsequent author to treat the name as a subspecies would be the author of caucasicus.
