Lectotype: ZIN 13045 (34 cm). Paralectotypes: ZIN 13045 (5 of 6, with lectotype). Lectotype selected by Svetovidov 1952:277, fig. 46 [ref. 21481]. •Synonym of Alosa braschnikowi (Borodin 1904), but a valid subspecies as described -- (Whitehead 1985:195, 196 [ref. 5141] as brashnikovi, Coad 1995:8 [ref. 23608], Reshetnikov et al. 1997:726 [ref. 24702] as braschnikowii). •See also Dorofeeva 1998:25 [ref. 23573]. •Synonym of Alosa braschnikowi (Borodin 1904) -- (Jouladeh-Roudbar et al. 2020:21 [ref. 37983] as braschnikowii). Current status: Synonym of Alosa braschnikowi (Borodin 1904). Alosidae. Distribution: Caspian Sea. Habitat: freshwater.
