Current status: Valid as Creagrutus kunturus Vari, Harold & Ortega 1995. Stevardiidae: Creagrutinae. Distribution: South America: upper Marañón River in northeastern Peru, upper Pastaza River and southwestern portion of Napo River in southeastern Ecuador (Ecuador and Peru). Habitat: freshwater.
