Current status: Valid as Asterropteryx striata Allen & Munday 1995. Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Malaysia and Indonesia east to Palau and Fiji, north to Philippines, south to Solomon Islands. Habitat: marine.
