Holotype (unique): IBTS 625. •Synonym of Erythroculter hypselonotus (Bleeker 1871), but a valid subspecies as described -- (Mai 1978:151 [ref. 13511]). •Valid as Ancherythroculter daovantieni (Bănărescu 1967) -- (Kottelat 2001:18 [ref. 25482], Kottelat 2013:73 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Valid as Ancherythroculter daovantieni (Bănărescu 1967). Xenocyprididae. Distribution: Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
