H.] 1995:17, Fig. 8 [Killi-Contact - Périodique bimestriel Spec. publ.; ref. 22880] 74 kilometers from Mariscal Estigarribia in the direction of Americo Picco, 21.30°S, 60.51°W, Paraguay. Holotype: MNHN 1994-1104. Paratypes: ANSP 169976-77 (3, 1), 169980 (1), 170416 (2), 170420 (1); MNHN 1994-1105 (1). Appeared first as above, then in Huber 1995 (Nov.):117, Figs. 13-14 [ref. 22204]. •Valid as Trigonectes aplocheiloides Huber 1995 -- (Costa 1998:78 [ref. 23792], Lazara 2001:309 [ref. 25711], Costa in Reis et al. 2003:543 [ref. 27061], López et al. 2003:70 [ref. 27366], Mirande & Koerber 2015:52 [ref. 35117], Calviño et al. 2016:11 [ref. 34699], Koerber et al. 2017:72 [ref. 35267], Drawert & Osinaga 2022:36 [ref. 40731], Drawert 2023:40 [ref. 40730]). Current status: Valid as Trigonectes aplocheiloides Huber 1995. Rivulidae: Rivulinae. Distribution: South America: Paraguay River basin (Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay). Habitat: freshwater.
