Replacement name for Platypoecilus dominicensis Evermann & Clark 1906, secondarily preoccupied in Poecilia by Poecilia dominicensis Valenciennes 1846. •Valid as Poecilia montana Rosen & Bailey 1963 -- (Parenti et al. 1999:15 [ref. 24072], Huber 2019:110 [ref. 36941]). •An objective synonym of Poecilia dominicensis (Evermann & Clark 1906) -- (Lee et al. 1983:48 [ref. 22527]) after restoration by Rivas 1978 (see Art. 59(c)). •Wrongly as a synonym of Limia dominicensis (Valenciennes 1846) -- (Lucinda in Reis et al. 2003:563 [ref. 27061]). •Synonym of Poecilia dominicensis (Evermann & Clark 1906) -- (Poeser 2003:150 [ref. 26783], Meyer 2015:218 [ref. 34698]).
