Paratypes: KFRI 86 (1). •Valid as Homaloptera menoni Shaji & Easa 1995 -- (Kottelat 1998:271 [ref. 23656], Kurup & Radhakrishnan 2011:225 [ref. 31584], Kottelat 2012:49 [ref. 32367] in 'Homaloptera'). •Valid as Ghatsa menoni (Shaji & Easa 1995) -- (Randall & Page 2015:79 [ref. 33701] with question, Bleher 2018:104 [ref. 36647]). Current status: Valid as Ghatsa menoni (Shaji & Easa 1995). Balitoridae. Distribution: South Asia: Bharathapuzha River drainage, Western Ghats, Kerala, southern India. Habitat: freshwater.
