M.] 1996:124, Fig. 14 [Ichthyological Exploration of Freshwaters v. 7 (no. 2); ref. 22572] Rio Negro, Anavilhanas archipelago, Estado do Amazonas, Brazil, approximately 2°34'39"S, 60°53'39"W. Holotype: MZUSP 49207. Paratypes: MZUSP 6223 (44, 3 c&s), 29367 (135, 3 c&s). •Valid as Fluviphylax zonatus Costa 1996 -- (Lazara 2001:121 [ref. 25711], Lucinda in Reis et al. 2003:558 [ref. 27061], Souza et al. 2011:412 [ref. 31782], Bragança 2018:134 [ref. 36227], Bragança & Henschel 2020:258 [ref. 37865]). Current status: Valid as Fluviphylax zonatus Costa 1996. Fluviphylacidae. Distribution: Lower Negro River basin, Preto da Eva and Urubu River drainages, and some upper Branco River tributaries, Amazonas State, Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.
