Holotype: Inst. Anat. Comp. Univ. Ferrara 4. Paratypes: Inst. Anat. Comp. Univ. Ferrara (1), MSNM (48). •Synonym of Cobitis taenia Linnaeus 1758, but a valid subspecies as described -- (Lelek 1987:247 [ref. 22962]). •Synonym of Cobitis bilineata Canestrini 1865 -- (Kottelat 1997:87 [ref. 22952]). •Valid as Cobitis zanandreai Cavicchioli 1965 -- (Kottelat & Freyhof 2007:318 [ref. 29996], Kottelat 2012:30 [ref. 32367], Bianco 2013:9 [ref. 32897], Perdices et al. 2016:7 [ref. 34266], Eagderi et al. 2017:50 [ref. 35199], Lorenzoni et al. 2019:251 [ref. 37108], Bellucci et al. 2021:[3] [ref. 38590], Novaga et al. 2024:395 [ref. 41169]). Current status: Valid as Cobitis zanandreai Cavicchioli 1965. Cobitidae. Distribution: Southern Europe: Volturno and Liri-Garigliano drainage systems, central Italy. Habitat: freshwater.
