Paratypes: CRHU 1993.0001 (1), HUMZ 127692 (1). •Valid as Neolamprologus longicaudatus Nakaya & Gashagaza 1995 -- (Büscher 1997:704 [ref. 23478], Schelly et al. 2003:3 [ref. 27431], Konings 2015:149 [ref. 34660], Konings 2019:156 [ref. 36983]). Current status: Valid as Neolamprologus longicaudatus Nakaya & Gashagaza 1995. Cichlidae: Pseudocrenilabrinae. Distribution: Eastern Africa: Lake Tanganyika. Habitat: freshwater.
