D.] 1995:12, Fig. 6 [Freshwater and Marine Aquarium v. 18 (no. 7); ref. 22671] Rio Poranga, 8 kilometers north of the Nobua oba, prior to where it joins a small tributary of the upper Negro River, Brazil. Holotype: LIVCM 1994.4.36. Paratypes: LIVCM 1994.4.37 (1). •Valid as Corydoras duplicareus Sands 1995 -- (Burgess & Finley 1996:168 [ref. 22901], Isbrücker 2001:224 [ref. 26805], Reis in Reis et al. 2003:297 [ref. 27061], Britto & Lima 2003:89 [ref. 27314]). Current status: Valid as Corydoras duplicareus Sands 1995. Callichthyidae: Corydoradinae. Distribution: Upper Negro River basin, Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.
