callipteron, Episemion Radda [A. C.] & Pürzl [E.] 1987:18, Fig. [Deutsche Killifisch Gemeinschaft Journal v. 19 (no. 2); ref. 12592] Stream, 6 kilometers southeast of Bibasse, at highway N2 from Oyem to Mitzic, Woleu/Rio Benito System, about 1°20'N, 11°39'E, northern Gabon. Holotype: NMW (whereabouts unknown). Paratypes: NMW (4, whereabouts unknown). Also appeared as new in English translation, Radda & Pürzl 1989: 63 [ref. 31320]. •Incertae sedis -- (Lazara 2001:117 [ref. 25711]). •Valid as Aphyosemion callipteron (Radda & Pürzl 1987) -- (van der Zee et al. 2007:175 [ref. 30034], Fermon et al. 2022:253 [ref. 39448]). •Valid as Episemion callipteron Radda & Pürzl 1987 -- (Wildekamp 1996:134 [ref. 23649], Seegers 1997:16 [ref. 23895], Sonnenberg et al. 2006:2 [ref. 28868]). Current status: Valid as Episemion callipteron Radda & Pürzl 1987. Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: Western-central Africa: Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. Habitat: freshwater.
