piscilineatus, Cirrhilabrus Cornic [A.] 1987:141 [Poissons de l'Ile Maurice; ref. 22052] West side, Gunner's Coin, Mauritius, Mascarenes, southwestern Indian Ocean, depth 35 meters. Neotype: BPBM 24774. Apparently available; genus given on p. 140. A second species described in the same work has been regarded as available and valid. Neotype designated by Randall 1999:31 [ref. 25148]. •Valid as Paracheilinus piscilineatus (Cornic 1987) -- (Kuiter & Allen 1999:120 [ref. 24141], Fricke 1999:427 [ref. 24106], Randall 1999:31 [ref. 25148], Parenti & Randall 2000:34 [ref. 24943], Randall & Allen 2003:105 [ref. 27244], Allen & Erdmann 2006:13 [ref. 29404], Allen & Erdmann 2008:187 [ref. 29498], Kuiter 2010:118 [ref. 35285], Allen et al. 2016:68 [ref. 34238], Randall & Victor 2022:236 [ref. 39916]). Current status: Valid as Paracheilinus piscilineatus (Cornic 1987). Labridae. Distribution: Southwestern Indian Ocean: Mascarenes (Mauritius) endemic. Habitat: marine.
