krymensis, Gobio gobio Bănărescu [P. M.] & Nalbant [T. T.] 1973:119 [Das Tierreich v. 93; ref. 173] Alma and Kacha [Biyuk-Karassu and Salgir] rivers, Crimea, Ukraine. Syntypes: (100) whereabouts unknown. Based on Berg 1949 which is based on the infrasubspecific Gobio gobio carpathicus natio krymensis. See also Gobio gobio carpathicus natio krymensis Delyamure 1937. •Synonym of Gobio gobio (Linnaeus 1758), but a valid subspecies as described -- (Lelek 1987:190 [ref. 22962] but dating to Delj[y]amure 1937). •Synonym of Gobio gobio (Linnaeus 1758) -- (Kottelat 1997:61 [ref. 22952], Bănărescu et al. 1999:82 [ref. 24850]). •Synonym of Gobio bulgaricus Drensky 1926 -- (Vasil'eva et al. 2005 [ref. 28515]). •See Mendel et al. 2008:1072 [ref. 29637]. •Valid as Gobio krymensis Bănărescu & Nalbant 1973 -- (Vasil'eva & Kuga 2005:40 [ref. 37100], Kottelat & Freyhof 2007:94 [ref. 29996], Dyldin et al. 2020:105, 111 [ref. 37569], Dyldin et al. 2023:[20] [ref. 40328]). Current status: Valid as Gobio krymensis Bănărescu & Nalbant 1973. Gobionidae. Distribution: Eastern Europe: Southern Crimea (Ukraine, Russia). Habitat: freshwater.
