Not treated by Renaud 2011:75 [ref. 31770]. •Synonym of Lampetra reissneri (Dybowski 1869) -- (Berg 1948:41 [ref. 12882], Okada 1961:273 [ref. 6363]). •Synonym of Lethenteron reissneri (Dybowski 1869) -- (Kottelat 2006:13 [ref. 28831], Dyldin & Orlov 2016:544 [ref. 34656] with question). •Valid as Lethenteron mitsukurii (Hatta 1901) -- (Naseka & Renaud 2020:50 [ref. 37921], Sakai et al. 2024:27 [ref. 41696]). Current status: Valid as Lethenteron mitsukurii (Hatta 1901). Petromyzontidae. Distribution: East Asia: Hokkaido Island to Shiga Prefecture and Honshu Island, Japan. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
