Paratypes: MNHN 1996-0119 (1, poor condition). Type catalog: Desoutter et al. 2001:322-323 [ref. 25922]. •Valid as Parachirus diringeri Quéro 1997 -- (Fricke 1999:572 [ref. 24106]). •Valid as Aseraggodes diringeri (Quéro 1997) -- (Randall 2005:211 [ref. 28892], Randall & Gon 2006:173 [ref. 28662], Randall & Senou 2007:307 [ref. 29156], Fricke et al. 2009:114 [ref. 30213], Randall et al. 2013:4 [ref. 32941], Desoutter-Meniger & Chapleau 2022:389 [ref. 40245], Fricke et al. 2024:87 [ref. 41255]). Current status: Valid as Aseraggodes diringeri (Quéro 1997). Soleidae. Distribution: Western Indian Ocean: KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa), East Africa (Mozambique, Kenya), Seychelles, Comoros and western Mascarenes (La Réunion, Mauritius) east to Chagos Archipelago. Habitat: marine.
