Type catalog: Contreras-Balderas et al. 1998:6 [ref. 23752]. •Valid as Etheostoma segrex Norris & Minckley 1997 -- (Nelson et al. 2004:135 [ref. 27807], Miller 2006:337 [ref. 28615], Scharpf 2008:31 [ref. 30399], Page et al. 2013:139 [ref. 32708], Page et al. 2023:201 [ref. 40505]). Current status: Valid as Etheostoma segrex Norris & Minckley 1997. Percidae: Etheostomatinae. Distribution: Southern North America: Nadadores River drainage, Coahuila, Atlantic Slope (Mexico); possibly extinct. Habitat: freshwater.
