(2). •Valid as Bangana elegans Kottelat 1998 -- (Kottelat 2001:40 [ref. 25780], Luo & Zhou 2009:66 [ref. 30000], Kottelat & Steiner 2011:317 [ref. 31189], Kottelat 2013:75 [ref. 32989], Kottelat 2015:40 [ref. 33971]). •Valid as Altigena elegans (Kottelat 1998) -- (Kottelat 2017:494 [ref. 35262]). •Possibly a synonym of Altigena lippa (Fowler 1936) -- (Taki et al. 2021:180 [ref. 39830]). Current status: Valid as Altigena elegans (Kottelat 1998). Cyprinidae: Labeoninae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Nam Kading River drainage, middle Mekong River basin, Laos. Habitat: freshwater.
