Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:376 [ref. 29155], Ng & Kim 2008:51 [ref. 29920]. •Valid as Pterocryptis buccata Ng & Kottelat 1998 -- (Ng 1999:371 [ref. 24236], Romero & Paulson 2001:25 [ref. 26040], Trajano et al. 2002:170 [ref. 26082], Ng & Chan 2005:54 [ref. 28371], Proudlove 2006:120 [ref. 28992], Ferraris 2007:376 [ref. 29155], Kottelat 2013:237 [ref. 32989], Ng et al. 2018:132 [ref. 36220]). Current status: Valid as Pterocryptis buccata Ng & Kottelat 1998. Siluridae. Distribution: Mekong River basin, Thailand. Habitat: freshwater.
