Holotype: ZSI/SRS F.4095. Paratypes: ZSI/SRS F.3496 (29). Original genus should have been Nemacheilus. •Valid as Nemacheilus pambarensis Rema Devi & Indra 1994 -- (Rema Devi et al. 1996:135 [ref. 24021], Raju Thomas et al. 2002:50 [ref. 26359]). •Valid as Mesonoemacheilus pambarensis (Rema Devi & Indra 1994) -- (Rema Devi & Indra 2002:334 [ref. 26591], Shaji 2002:219 [ref. 27556], Kottelat 2012:88 [ref. 32367], Anoop et al. 2017:126 [ref. 35652], Bleher 2018:144 [ref. 36647]). Current status: Valid as Mesonoemacheilus pambarensis (Rema Devi & Indra 1994). Nemacheilidae. Distribution: Western Ghats, Kerala, southern India. Habitat: freshwater.
