Based on Glyptosternum lonah of Günther 1864:187 [ref. 1974]. •Synonym of Glyptothorax lonah (Sykes 1839) -- (Thomson & Page 2006:49 [ref. 28859]). •Valid as Glyptothorax sykesi (Day 1873) -- (Ferraris 2007:394 [ref. 29155]). Current status: Valid as Glyptothorax sykesi (Day 1873). Sisoridae: Sisorinae. Distribution: Peninsular India. Habitat: freshwater.
