Loreto, Peru, elevation 107 meters. Holotype: MUSM 10045. Paratypes: MUSM 10046 (2, 1 c&s). Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:187 [ref. 29155]. •Valid as Myoglanis koepckei Chang 1999 -- (Bockmann & Guazzelli in Reis et al. 2003:415 [ref. 27061], DoNascimiento & Lundberg 2005:39 [ref. 28255], Ferraris 2007:187 [ref. 29155], Barriga Salazar 2014:114 [ref. 35745], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:91 [ref. 35633], Meza-Vargas et al. 2021:24 [ref. 39298]). Current status: Valid as Myoglanis koepckei Chang 1999. Heptapteridae: Heptapterinae. Distribution: South America: upper Amazon River basin (Ecuador, Peru and Colombia). Habitat: freshwater.
